We invite you to join a powerful international webinar that brings forward the voices of social workers from the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighbouring countries — professionals working every day in contexts marked by displacement, insecurity, poverty, trauma, and severe resource constraints.

About the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The situation across the region remains deeply concerning. Armed conflict, displacement, food insecurity, and growing humanitarian needs continue to place enormous pressure on communities and support systems.

More than a webinar, this is an opportunity to hear directly from social workers in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighbouring countries — professionals working every day on the frontline of crisis response.

Beyond reports and statistics, the conversation offers a unique perspective on what social work looks like in highly challenging contexts: how professionals respond, adapt, and continue supporting communities under extraordinary pressure.

The webinar creates a space for connection, reflection, and international professional solidarity, while also marking the launch of a new training initiative designed to strengthen capacities, shared learning, and locally led social work responses in crisis settings.
